Hellers Ltd is a leading New Zealand manufacturer and distributor of Bacon, Ham and Smallgoods. Our award-winning quality brands enjoy significant and growing customer and consumer recognition.
We are currently seeking a Café Assistant to work on a full-time basis in our busy on-site Café in Kaiapoi. This position is on our afternoon shift.
Hours: 2:30pm – 11:00pm
Days: Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday shifts over our busy Christmas period.
Responsibilities include food preparation, customer service and cleaning. Experience of working in food preparation and food safety is desirable.
To do this role you must have:
- Experience in food preparation: making sandwiches, wraps and rolls
- Previous experience using a grill is desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Commitment to health and safety along with food hygiene best practice
- Good time management skills
- A great sense of humour and a calm demeanour
