YOUR NEW ROLE IN OUR TEAM
We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to lead our Web Services and Platform Services engineering teams. You will assume full ownership of delivering features and products by assuming the Product Owner role in a Scrum team and report directly to the Director of Product Management. Exact scope will be tailored according to the past experience and skill set of the applicant.
This position can be done fully remote or in our offices in Munich, Germany.
Tasks
- Take our current IaaS offering to the PaaS realm by introducing managed services like Kubernetes, MLOps tooling, infrastructure-as-code, databases, object storage etc onto our cloud platform
- Work closely with designers, product operations, and sales to conduct user research to help define and validate our roadmap
- Act as Product Owner in the development process, creating epics and user stories, prioritizing and grooming the team backlog
- Drive product and feature development involving multiple teams together with our Product Operations Manager
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and test hypotheses
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement within your team that iteratively ships functionality without compromising on quality
- Develop business cases and model unit economics for new products
- You have a background as a developer working with cloud based solutions or from a relevant application domain
- You have at least 2 years of product management experience
- You have at least 1 year of experience working with a public cloud provider, cloud integrator/consultancy, or in an application domain such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, Web3 or rendering where cloud services were used to run these technologies
- You understand how cloud services can benefit and are used by users such as software engineers, data scientists, machine learning engineers, and visual artists
- You are keen to talk with our current and prospective users to understand the full breadth of jobs they do, tools they use, and challenges they face
- You are not intimidated by industry jargon such as K8s, model inference, IaC, distributed training, PG, DNSaaS/MaaS/FaaS/SaaS/PaaS/IaaS, object storage etc
- Practical understanding of AI/ML, HPC and accelerated computing concepts is a plus
- Remote-first work environment with a team distributed all across the globe (with our main office in Munich, data centers in Iceland, Norway, and Germany). Emphasis on synchronous (video calls) and asynchronous (Slack, Confluence) communication
