Apt Resources is seeking a highly qualified and motivated H2S Technician for one of their clients in Oman. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all employees by monitoring hydrogen sulfide levels within the premises. The H2S Technician will work closely with the management team to devise and implement safety plans to minimize risk to all parties. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular tests to monitor hydrogen sulfide levels and report results to the management team.
- Create and implement safety plans to avoid risk of H2S exposure for employees and visitors.
- Ensure all safety equipment is in good condition, including gas detectors, breathing apparatus, and protective gear.
- Train employees in safety procedures and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Perform rescue operations in case of H2S exposure emergencies.
- Maintain records of all safety procedures and equipment maintenance, and prepare reports for management.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Certification in H2S safety procedures and emergency response techniques.
- Excellent knowledge of H2S monitoring equipment and safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and in high-risk situations.
The position is for a period of 2 to 3 months and the salary level for this will be discussed and shared later.
