Starting Monthly Salary:
- Commis I - QAR 2,000++
- Commis II - QAR 1,800++
- Commis III / Kitchen Helper - QAR 1,600++

Overview: As a Commis Chef, you will be an essential part of our culinary team, supporting the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, and Executive Chef in various kitchen operations. Your passion for cooking, willingness to learn, and attention to detail will contribute to the creation of exceptional dishes and ensure the smooth functioning of the kitchen. The Commis Chef is responsible for assisting in food preparation, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and working closely with the kitchen team to deliver high-quality food to our guests.
Responsibilities:
Food Preparation and Cooking:
- Assist in preparing ingredients and mise en place for dishes as per the direction of the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
- Participate in cooking and assembling dishes under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.
- Learn and apply cooking techniques to maintain the quality and consistency of the dishes.
Kitchen Operations:
- Support the Chef de Partie and other team members in various kitchen tasks during service.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Follow standard recipes and plating guidelines to uphold presentation standards.
Food Safety and Hygiene:
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Properly handle and store food items, following guidelines to prevent contamination and spoilage.
- Report any safety or maintenance issues to the Chef de Partie or relevant authority.
Learning and Development:
- Show eagerness to learn and grow as a culinary professional, taking guidance from senior kitchen staff.
- Seek opportunities to expand knowledge of ingredients, cooking techniques, and culinary trends.
- Embrace constructive feedback to improve culinary skills and performance.
Team Collaboration:
- Work cooperatively with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless teamwork and efficient operations.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
Menu Support:
- Assist in the development and testing of new menu items, as directed by senior kitchen staff.
- Contribute creative ideas and suggestions to enhance the overall menu offerings.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment, culinary education, or relevant training is a plus.
- Passion for cooking and a strong interest in pursuing a culinary career.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from senior kitchen staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
