Waters Brasov are looking for Cloud Architect to join their established team!

As a Cloud Architect at Waters Brasov, you will work on projects critical to our Informatics business needs.

Are you an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Cloud Architect with a phenomenal understanding of Cloud services and optimisation, can you see solutions and collaborate with teams to drive the solutions forward for the short and long term objectives? We’d love to hear from you!

By joining the team in Brasov, you can help develop solutions that make a significant impact on the world. Our products support scientists in the fight against cancer, newborn baby screening and ensure the quality and safety of food and beverages, whilst continually driving innovation!
Responsibilities:
As a Cloud Architect you will:
  • Build and detail cloud solution architecture designs
  • Act as an architectural design authority
  • Communicate designs to the collaborators
  • Produce Proof of Concepts in high-risk areas to de-risk architecture
  • Resolve challenges of highly sophisticated technical issues
  • Seek out and provide mentorship on improving engineering practices and technologies
  • Mentor others on architectural concepts and infrastructure
Qualifications:
To be successful you will:
  • Experience with one or more cloud providers, e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Experience in application architecture, database architecture, networking and security
  • Proven experience leading or developing quality, enterprise software products using a structured system development life cycle, preferably in an agile environment
  • Understanding of emerging cloud provider technologies and services
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with proven authority and credibility at senior levels
  • Professional English speaking and writing
Desirable but not crucial:
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes is highly desirable
  • NoSQL databases, Big Data technologies, Data Lakes
  • Strong understanding for scalable architecture patterns; microservices, event-driven systems, Domain Driven Design, chaos resiliency
